"This site tracks the incoming flights for some US airports (Atlanta, Boston, ...) using data provided by fboweb.com. The data provided is based on position reports for each aircraft once per minute.

However, around some of the major airports, additional position reports are sent once every 20 seconds (for increased accuracy near high-traffic areas). This sometimes has an effect of making the flight look like it zig-zags. Sometime the data also might be inaccurate leading to long tracking lines.

If you want to update the airplane information please click on the respective airport.

As the great Google Maps API is used for displaying the information there are some requirements for the browser and the performance of the computer systems used. Please use recent versions of browses like Firefox, IE, ...

Thanks to the many people of the Google Maps API discussion group providing great information background.
Also to Tom for the flexible TLabel extension.
