BAC (Blood Alcohol Content)

After reading this I think Damn can man really drink this much i mean this has got to be some non stop drinking!!!!
I Quote
"RIGA, Latvia (Reuters) - Latvian police said a drunk picked up with around twice the blood-alcohol level considered deadly had probably set a world record but would wake with a hangover to match.

The unidentified middle-aged man was unconscious but stable after a blood test showed 7.22 parts per million of alcohol, police spokeswoman Ieva Zvidre said.

An average person would vomit at around 1.2, lose consciousness at 3.0 and stop breathing at a level of about 4.0 parts per million, Zvidre said, adding: "This is one for the Guinness Book of Records."

The hospital's emergency ward head Martins Sics told reporters there was no record of anybody having survived such a dose, even in neighboring Russia which takes pride in its vodka-guzzling traditions.

"He won't remember a thing when he comes to," Sics said.

Apple Computer said Tuesday that fourth-quarter profit quadrupled as sales of iPod music players rose to a record and back-to-school demand drove Macintosh computer shipments.

Net income rose to $430 million, or 50 cents a share, from $106 million, or 13 cents, a year earlier, Apple said. Sales increased 57 percent to $3.68 billion."

Scientists Are Unmoved by Claim of New Species

"New discoveries in a cave on the Indonesian island of Flores, notably another jaw bone, appear to give additional support to the idea that a separate species of little people new to science and now extinct lived there as recently as 12,000 years ago.

But a vigorous minority of skeptical scientists are unmoved by the new findings. They contend that the skeletal remains are more likely to be deformed modern humans, not a distinct species.

The scientists who announced the first findings a year ago and proclaimed the new species, Homo floresiensis, described the additional bones in a report being published on Thursday in the journal Nature. "

Microsoft warned users of its Windows operating system Tuesday of three newly found "critical" security flaws in its software that could allow attackers to take complete control of a computer.

The world's largest software maker issued patches to fix the problems as part of its monthly security bulletin. The problems mainly affect the Windows operating system and Microsoft's Internet Explorer Web browser.

Computer security experts urged users to download and install the patches

Your Widescreen Sucks

Daktronics has been awarded a contract to build the world's largest high definition (HD) light emitting diode (LED) display for Dolphins Stadium in Miami, USA. The display will measure approximately 15.2 metres high by 41.8 metres (636 sq. m)
Although it will be the largest in the world when it is first switched on, the record will fall again later in the year when Tokyo Racecourse will open its 11 metre by 60 metre screen (660 sq.m). Of course that’s just the high definition record...

Firefox Loses Market Share--Again

For the second time in three months, Firefox's share of the browser market slipped, a Web site analysis company said Monday.

Mozilla Corp.'s Firefox lost more than three-quarters of a percentage point in September, said Net Applications, dropping from 8.27 percent the month before to 7.55 percent. The last time Firefox owned such a small slice of the browser market was April, when it came in at 7.38 percent.

According to Net Applications, Firefox has been losing users since June, when it topped out at 8.71 percent. A small bump-up in August was the exception.

But the drop was actually less damaging than the numbers show, said Vincent Vizzaccaro, executive vice president of marketing and strategic relationships at Net Applications. The problem was that Netscape 8.0 -- an offshoot of Firefox that can render Web pages using either Mozilla's Geko engine or the one within Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) -- could identify itself as one or the other of those browsers, but was usually telling sites it was Firefox.

Microsoft security about as tight as ...

According to reports of the news magazine Spiegel ten top-secret prototypes, so called development kits, of the new console Xbox 360 have been stolen from Microsoft. Past news has reported that mod chip developers have already got a hold of a few of the consoles before this theft. I can't wait to mod my stolen XBox360 to emulate Intelivision games, for that is where the console derives its true value. Besides there is nothing more hardcore then three symmetrical cores running at 3.2 GHz each emulating Combat.

Microsoft is spending a lot of development dineros trying to make the XBox360 hack-proof, but the way things have already been going, I have money that crackers develop a mod chip before the system is even officially released. It is also been possible to find Xbox360 controllers on eBay in the past.
